Altitude simulation test of ramjet engine tries to create the state which is close to the high altitude air condition by using the ground test equipments. The ramjet engine works in the state in order to testify its feasibility of design and reliability of techniques, examine the methods of debug testing, and estimate the quality and performance of the engine. Therefore it is necessary to perform ramjet engine tests many times in the altitude simulation test-bed before the formal flight.Since 1913 the concept of ramjet, the world has to carry out research, the same also developed some test facilities, test facilities is the most typical ramjet direct connected test bench. China from the last century 60’s, has also developed the part directly connected test bench, but with the ramjet technology unceasingly to the high altitude high Maher number development, the existing test equipment aging, low capability index, has been unable to meet the ramjet engine test requirements, need as soon as the needle simulation demand for high pressure and temperature, high vacuum degree the development of test bed, the Maher number more than 4. This paper is based on the above requirements, development of ramjet engine test stand for high Maher direct.In view of the design of the primary gas path system, on the basic demand of the ramjet engine experiment, the paper elaborate the design philosophy of economic velocity flow to pipe diameter,baseding on the condition of the minimal and biggest engine airflow rate, and bond the strength demand,explain the design situation on primary gas pipe system. Base on the demand of the Mach number in experiment, under the situation of short duration gas source right now, the paper introduces the design requirement of choosing valve design which play an vital role in adjusting total pressure. Besides, the paper elaborates the demand of the design rule, population parameter and the technique requirement of the key heating equipment to adjust temperature imitation. The main parts of altitude simulation test bed of ramjet engine consist the exhausting ejector system, and the paper elaborates the effort of the exhausting ejector system,which is eject the gas exhausted from the engine, in order to keep the vacuum degree in the demanded level and get the given simulation height. Then the paper elaborates the design method and the design progress of the vacuum system which consist supersonic diffuser, gas cooler and steam ejector pump.Development of this research has been successfully applied to the ramjet engine directly connected test bench, completion of the test bench has been put into use, and direct connect test Maher 2~6 to carry out, obtained better result, laid the foundation for the development of high Maher number of ramjet engine.
