Test resources allocation method is used to apply BIT installations, in situ test equipments and ATE equipments properly. It allocates software, hardware and information resources to different maintenance diagnosis units. Test resources allocation can improve the system's reliability, faults detection and isolation ability, and reduce the test expense and time cost. As the weapon equipments'structure become more and more complex and the demands of support become higher and higher, the study of test resources allocation is becoming more and more important.At the beginning of this thesis, some previous test resources allocation method was summarized, the influence of the test resources allocation on the fault detection and isolation ability of the test system was analyzed. Then, a test resources allocation method based on multi-signal model was put forward. In order to study the test resources allocation problem, many factors are considered, such as the testability parameters of the system, the probability of the diagnosis mode and the test expense and time cost of different the test measurements. Optimal allocation of test resources was implemented by solving a multi-objective optimizing problem using genetic algorithm. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. A test resources allocation method based on multi-signal model was put forward. The principle and implementation steps of test resources allocation method based on multi-signal are introduced.2. Test resources allocation on the fault detection and isolation ability of the test system has been analyzed. the testability of the system, the probability of the diagnosis units, the test expense and time of the test resources are considered to set up the test resources allocation model. This method overcame the defect of previous test resources allocation methods that haven't taken consideration of the equipments'testability.3. By Analyzing and summarizing the characteristics of the test resources model and the multi-objective optimization theory, The multi-objective genetic algorithm was choose to solve the test resources allocation model.4. Taking the diesel engine of warships as a research object, the test resources allocation model was set up based on testability requirement analysis and test resources requirements analysis. The optimization of the test resources was implemented by multi-objective genetic algorithm. The effectiveness of the test resources allocation method was verified by experimental result.5. At last, based on the proposed test resources allocation method, a test resources allocation software tool was developed using DELPHI program language.
