The power flow calculation of the distribute power system is a very important module of the distribute power management automation as the basis of the distribute power system analysis. The reactive power compensation, network optimization need power flow calculation results. The oil field distribute power system is a long, multipoint, closed structure and open running network. Furthermore, it is influenced by the changes of oil field load power, so the power flow analysis becomes a very important part of the oil field electric power system intelligent management.In the first place, combined with the oil field production, the shortage in the distribute power system management is analyzed, whose elementary reason is parsed. The advanced methods of distribute power management at home and abroad is researched, on that basis, the resolving scheme of combining the (Geographical Information System) GIS and forward and backward sweep method is presented. In the next place, the algorithm of generating the topology based on the poles number encoding rule in GIS is proposed. Several power flow calculation algorithms are researched, and the forward and backward sweep algorithm suitable for the oil field distribute power system is deduced. Finally, the oil field distribute power system power flow calculation system is designed, which converges fast, calculates accurately, and is already applied in the oil field distribute power system theoretical line losses analysis, and provides very important scientific decision supports for guiding the practical production.
