| In order to save energy, reduce cost and protect environment, it is of vital significance to utilize solar energy either for the new buildings or the existing buildings that can be restructured or transformed to make use of the solar water-heating system.On the study subject of existing residential building, the feasibility of constructing a centralized solar water-heating system by making use of the idle roof tank was discussed in this paper. On the basis of comprehensive investigation, comparison and selection of the structure and components of the solar water-heating system, a program and some transformative measures on how to utilize solar water-heating system on existing buildings were suggested. In addition, a comparison was made in this paper on the economy of the various heating system with different heat source with a few to tendering convincing arguments. The main conclusions of this thesis are as follows: (1) It is feasible to use the idle water tank in the construction of the solar water-heating system provided that the thermal insulation of the tank wall is properly altered. (2) Based upon conduct heat calculation, the foamed EPS is regarded as the most suitable thermal insulation material for the tank wall. (3) For the established buildings, we recommend the construction of centralized solar water-heating system, with the heat collector installed with hot vacuum pipe and the circulation system being compulsory heating collecting system. (4) To ensure the reliability of the heat water supply, the solar system should be installed with auxiliary or stand-by heat source. (5) The competent authorities should extend support in the revamp and construction of solar water heat system on existing buildings, such as fund support, policy preference, function propaganda as well as R&D and application. |
