Based on the past work, this paper, through the theory of finite difference, discussed deeply about the horizontal bearing capacity of a single pile considering the shear action in the foundation soil, m method and the numerical solution of amended bi-parameters method. The main work as follows shows:(1) The application history and present situation of laterally loaded piles is briefly introduced, pointing out the main problems existing in the current calculating method and the development direction.(2) Considering the complexity of the power series solution expression of m method, the difficulty of programme and the tediousness in table checking and hang counting, corresponded calculation was programmed in the paper, by the theroy of FDA, and then it's correctness was proved by the comparison with the existing method. Then focused on the factors effecting the pile, and got some laws.(3) Considering soil foundation of the spread of stress, take the Pasternak bi-parameter model of the foundation into the calculation of laterally loaded piles, proposed the method of bi-parameter foundation model, and done a sensitivity analysis on the maximum pile bending moment by this method. Finally, an analysis was hold to distinguish the role of soil shear to the displacement on the pile top, the corner, the biggest moment of the impact on the pile.(4) Pointed out the theory defects of the composite stiffness principle with bi-parameter method, gives a finite difference method of amendment to the method was given, corresponded calculation program was compiled, the advantages and disadvantages of the method in practice application were analyzed.(5) Through a project example, the displacement of pile on the earth and the biggest pile moment are solved by m method, amendments to bi-parameter method and bi-parameter model method respectively, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods, finally, gave some recommendations on the selection of calculate methods.
