T-section steel has been widely used in plane-truss structures. As the most complex part of truss structure, it is important to analyze mechanic performance and design method of truss joints. Appropriate design procedure is not presented in current design codes. Combining with the current study achievement of double-angle truss joint, including several calculating methods which will be introduced in the thesis。To make a better understanding of joint mechanics behaviors, this thesis studies joints of T-section steel truss with finite element method (FEM).Combining with some compilation work of the National standard Drawings, which is Drawings of trapezoid steel truss for light roofing (dissecting T-section steel)(06SG515-2), two types of joints are selected for analysis, which have T-sections as chord member and double-angle sections as web member, which belong to the top and bottom chord members of a plane-truss。Finite element models for nonlinear analysis have built by ANSYS program, two facets are considered in analysis, which is variety of loads and thickness of joint plates, analyzed some joint characteristics, including distributing of stress, the developing rule of plasticity, elastic-plastic distortion state and the yield-characteristic of joints, found out the joint mechanics behaviors。To simplified design process of these joints, a formulation is provided to calculate the stress of gusset plate. This simple method is based on the former FEM results, and so is better for joint design。...
