Based on the study of Theory of Constraint, this thesis gives an in-depth analysis on the manufacturing status and the problems existed in WTB. And it studies and practices the application of Theory of Constraints in the system of SAP.In this process, this thesis gives opinions about the application of Theory of Constraints in the production management should do some relevant research for adaptation to the particularity of the manufacturer in discrete manufacturing model. In view of the actual enterprises conditions and on the basis of overall investigating and analyzing the fact, this thesis accomplished the business process modeling by using the modeling method of Petri nets and identified the production bottleneck by using production management of SAP. In modeling, the technique research-and-development and adjustment are tried to be considered as a step of production process and be build in the model of SAP-PP. The problem about how to apply in SAP is solved by setting up virtual material. The actual time of every node in the production process is entered into the system of SAP as"production order confirm". Then the time wave of every node can be held by calculating standard deviation. This thesis offers an effective method of bottleneck identification in reality. Next, by using the five core steps of Theory of Constraints the production system of WTB is continued to be improved.A set of management measures and techniques have been proposed for identifying its system bottlenecks and eliminating them for increasing the system throughput for the application of Theory of Constraints in system of SAP in multi-variety and small-batch production enterprise.
