Large cranes commonly are using more and more complex hydraulic and electrical controls. Rapid and timely detection, identification of these systems failures, has been far from the operators. RM&CS (remote monitoring &controlling system) identifies the deviation from the normal function and the prevention of sudden occurrence of fault. To collect cranes necessary state parameters and in real time, accurate and effective way to send data to the remote server is the important part. On the high-performance server, through the advantaged computer technology of mass data storage, on-line analysis and data mining, the mass data flows will be transferred into useful information flows, which are the key and the ultimate goal of RM&CS.This article researches on the reliability, accuracy and validity of the data stream and its hardware support. Good crane RM&CS involves a large number of the various state data and effective analysis of these data by high-quality method is an important guarantee for the performance of system. However, currently, the research on these parts is not mature. On hardware device, because of long time and continuous remote monitoring, data flow is huge. By analyzing data flow model of real-time monitoring, comparing the commonly used non-destructive data compression and making full use of the data stream's redundant features, the article has proposed the mixed strategy of data compression. Through practical applications, the algorithm improves the efficiency of underlying data stream transmission. On the central server, by to extracting the required information from the large and complex data, processing data online according to the characteristics of a crane, and doing data mining with the performance of the crane knowledge, the performance trend of the crane can be carried out.Paper first introduces the subject, background, significance and the current situation of the research, and analyzes the characteristics of data collection, and designs a data collection and transmission of intelligent terminal; Then paper discusses encoding and data compression algorithm of the underlying data stream, which improves the effectiveness, safety and integrity of data transmission; 0n the center server data, collection software receives, decodes and parses the get data streams. ER database stores data and data warehouse system are established based on database; on-line data analysis and time-series data mining algorithms are discussed; finally, according to the characteristics of RM&CS, the friendly BS website is designed to achieve crane information management.At the end, paper makes a summing up and makes evaluation for the large crane remote monitoring system, and puts forward a number of future large-scale studies and prospects of crane control system.
