There are different temperature requires for every component of aircraft. The temperature of most equipment must be within a narrow range. Accordingly, the temperature of aircrafts has to be controlled. Thermal analysis is important to maintain the reliability of aircraft equipments. That consists of the structure modeling, solving the thermal governing equations and analyzing the obtained temperature field to decide a reasonable thermal design. With the increasing reliability and precision of modeling, thermal analysis has become to be an important step of thermal design. In this paper, the thermal analysis of multi-body-system with complicated boundary conditions was investigated, which has the application background of aircraft thermal design. Two kinds of thermal systems with different heat transfer mechanisms were modeled and analyzed, which are governed by the coupling of heat conduction-convection-radiation and by the coupling of heat conduction-radiation, respectively. By employing the domain decomposition technique, the finite volume-thermal network method combined with the Monte- Carlo method was used to solve the transient temperature field of the complicated systems.By simulating the thermal response of typical body and compared the results with that obtained by ANSYS, the reliability of the calculation code developed by our group has been validated. After that, the transient thermal response of two multi-body-systems with complicated boundary conditions was simulated. The temperature field and the governing factors were analyzed. The presented investigation shows that the modeling method and calculating code are flexible to the thermal analysis of multi-body-system with complicated boundary conditions and can satisfy the thermal analysis requests of both the system and cell parts. The knowledge and numerical results obtained by this research can provided a valuable reference to the thermal design of aircrafts.
