This paper has simulated the guide-flow-wall on the curved way of discharge trough of mengshan spillway using RNGk-εturbulent models,which is provided by fluid computational software FLUENT and compare the results with experimental data .The main contentsand conclusions are as follows:(1)The movement phenomena and movement characteristics of water,the improvement of turbulent flow and the distribution of discharge trough of spillway have been analyzed in detail from theory.(2) In the experiments,the water surface curve at left and right bank of chute,the velocity of cross-section and the superelevation are obtained when the flood frenquency are 2%,1%,and 0.1%.The data after arranging guide-flow-wall is compared with data before arranging guide-flow-wall.(3)Numerical simulation of the flow in setting the guide-flow-wall on the curved way of discharge trough of mengshan spillway has been simulated by using RNGk-εturbulent mode respectively.VOF method is introduced to make tracks for free surface.The equations are segregated by using the Finite Volume Method(FVM)with the PISO algorithm adopted in the numerical program.The characteristics of bend flow by each turbulent model are obtained,including free water surface,velocity of length ways and so on, and compare the results with experimental data are in good agreement.(4) The simulated results depend considerably on the mesh.In this paper,the body-fitted coordinate method is applied to discrete the simulation domain,and different meshes are plotted in different work condition.The mesh lines are generated generally according to the direction of flows.The simulation domain is divided into several regions in this paper.The different meshing methods are employed to different regions.The meshes of key regions,such as curved conduits and the hydropneumaticinterfaces are dense,while the meshes of secondary regions are sparse.The unstructured grids are applied to plot the difficult regions,such as the bottom of curved conduits,while structured grids are applied to plot the simple regions。Set the boundary conditions and the initial conditions of setting guide-flow-wall on the curved way of discharge trough of mengshan spillway.(5)The simulation results are compared with the experimental data, which indicates that by arranging guide-flow-wall at the curved way of discharge trough of mengshan spillway .Setting several methods of guide-flow-wall on the curved way of discharge trough of spillway to design the guide-flow-wall more optimum. According to the design of the program Optimization criteria , get a reasonable design choice of the guide-flow-wall .The flow pattern of optimized discharge trough of spillway is in good condition,which can meet the need of flood discharge and energy dissipation.
