The development and utilization of renewable sources have been paid more attention to in recent years, among which the wind power is prominent. With the installed capacity of wind farm increased constantly year by year, the wind farms connected directly to the power are greatly increased. So its problems to the power system will be obvious. Based on the Yantai power system including wind power, the problem about voltage and reactive power brought by the wind farm will be analyzed in this thesis, and the main contents are as follows:The analysis of power flow calculation algorithm in system containing wind farm will be given first. Nowadays, the wind farm is considered as a PQ node indirectly for power flow calculation, so the traditional calculation method can be used. The main difference of these exist methods is the iterative formation, which include synchronous and asynchronous methods. Considering the model of the asynchronous generator, this thesis points out that the calculation of the voltage and the slip is the essence of power flow calculation. According to this, the iterative formation can be found, and the consistency of the traditional method can be validated.Detailed calculation and analysis about Changdao system are given in this thesis. The impact to the system which is brought by wind farm will be different when the wind speed and the operation mode of system change. Considering all kinds of scenes, the voltage and reactive power supporting capability of the connected point in different cases will be analyzed.Based on the power flow calculation of the Changdao system, to solve the conceivable problem that the connected point maybe lack of voltage and reactive power supporting capability, the reactive power optimization should be carried out as the compensator which should be installed on the wind farm. The voltage level of the node in the system will be satisfied after reactive power optimization, and the harmony operation between wind farm and the power system will be obtained.
