Plate heat exchangers have been widely used and developed for many years.It is now used in many fields such as Petroleum,Domestic Hot Water, Air-condition,Chemical.with its applied fields extending.The further study is urgently needed.In this paper,soft and hard wave form plate heat exchanger with wave angle of 30 and 60(wave height 3.8mm,wave distance 13.4mm) are selected as experiment objects,heat exchange experiment table is established to conduct water-water and water-oil heat exchange experiment.Through the processed data,surface heat transfer coefficient of water side and oil side are obtained respectively and are compared with previous research result.For further study of resistance and heat transfer characteristics in low Re condition of the chevron-type plate heat exchanger,Through the numerical simulation for the waved plate in theβrange of 20°~70°,H range of 3mm-6mm and L range of 10mm-25mm.the influence law for the resistance and heat transfer characteristics on the three parameters of chevron-type plate heat exchanger can be briefed as follows:(1) with theβincreasing,the heat transfer factor j increases firstly and then decreases.when theβis 60°,the j reaches its maximum.Friction factor f increases with theβincreasing. comprehensive effect quality factor j/f decreases with theβincreasing.(2) with L decreasing,the f and the j both increase.But when L increases,the j/f also increases.(3) with H increasing,both j and f increase,but j increase increases more quickly than f,the j/f increases with H increasing.Based on the mathematical analysis of the simulating data,the influence of H,L,f on the resistance and heat transfer characteristics is analyzed and the criterion equations of heat transfer and friction coefficient in the Reynolds number range 30<Re<240 for chevron-type plate heat exchanger have been fitted.The field synergy principle has been successfully used to analyze the heat transfer enhancement as a new theory.the field synergy principle is used to study the chevron-type plate heat exchanger and the change law of field synergy integral cosine value withβ,H,L:withβincreasing,the cosine value increases firstly and then decreases,when theβis 60°,the cosine value reaches its maximum.The cosine value also increases with the H increasing and decreases with the L increasing.By contrast,we may conclude that the change law of field synergy cosine value with H basically similar to the j. Which could explain the principle of heat transfer enhancement of the chevron plate heat exchanger.
