With the fast development of the thruway in our country, the speed of the automobile improved very much, in order to ensure the safe in traveling, vehicle handling and stability is more important thing. The direct factor influencing the vehicle handling and stability is the performance of the tyre, but in fact, the performance of suspension which connected the tyre and the chassis influenced the handling, ride performance and safety in traveling, it was important to ensure the upper performance through checking the performance of suspension, especially the performance of vibration damper.The paper introduces suspension performance influence on automobile safety and analyses traditional detection method. It points out the backward present situation about suspension performance detection in our country.The paper analyses and studies suspension performance detection in theory, and has established a kind of mathematics model of testing stand of suspension performance detection by measuring force. It points out that dynamic adhering condition of automobile can be reflected by relatively moving of wheel only. So we lead into a new term-wheel's earthing index, which has reflected the minimum adhering to road surface of the automobile and the performance of suspension.After having analysed suspension performance detection theoretically, the paper study computer control system of detection for automobile suspension detailedly.
