Study on response of ship structure under underwater explosion Shock Wave. Research on the issues by theoretical analysis and numerical computation. The main researches and conclusions in the paper are as follows:(1) Introduce the formation and phenomenon of underwater explosion shock wave. One-dimensional and two-dimensional models of blast wave were investigated. Study on the basic theory of shock wave. Some preparations were made for the dynamic response analysis subjected to the non-contact explosion loading.(2) Utilize non-linear transient dynamical software LS-DYNA to numerically simulate the whole propagation of underwater shock wave and the calculation results agree with the empirical formulae very well. Validate the feasibility and accuracy of the software and simulation methods. Effects of different grid density and state equations of detonation subjected to explosion underwater shock wave are discussed.(3) Numerical simulations were conducted on the rectangular plate using the ALE method of the LS-DYNA software and the dynamic responses of the rectangular plate subjected to the underwater shock wave loading were obtained. Compared to the test, some reliable results had been achieved.(4) The dynamic responses subjected to underwater explosion in the near fields were investigated by using LS-DYNA software. Based on the constitutive equations and state equations, numerical simulations were made according to the theoretical analysis. The displacement, velocity, acceleration and stress of the ship subjected to the shock wave loading are obtained. According to the different shock factors, the ship responses under the shock wave loading were analyzed to achieve the significant results, providing the valuable references to the ship research and design.(5) The structural damage of double bottom subjected to the non-contact explosion was studied. Conclusions and suggestions were carried out through, energy absorption and the structural damage deformation. The conclusions and suggestions given in this paper have reference value to ship anti-explosion research and structure design of ship.
