Plateau, mountain covers 60% of the whole area in china, diesel engine faces a common problem at the conditions of different altitude. Lowering of intake pressure of diesel engine, reduction of air quality into the cylinder due to the high altitude, low atmospheric pressure, low air density, low oxygen content, leads to the deterioration of diesel engine performance. Adopting turbo-charging can increase the intake pressure and air quality into the cylinder. Then diesel engine performance is increased.For solving the impacts of the different altitude conditions to 493 diesel engine, in this paper the research work on turbocharged engine is following:(1) Analyze the impact of the diesel engine work by different altitude of climate.(2) Research the process and the performance of diesel engine simulation theory.(3) A calculating model of 493 naturally aspirated and turbocharged engine is found. A calculation to the power output curve and intake pressure curve of the naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engine has been performed.(4) According to the estimated result, selected and matched high and low pressure for 493 diesel engine. A calculating model of 493 two-stage turbocharged diesel engine is found. Get bestαunder different altitude and presents intake pressure control.(5) Feasibility and effectiveness of intake pressure control of diesel engine at different altitudes have been verified by the experimental results.
