As China's railway the sixth speed up was carried out,as well as the passenger special line was opened to traffic continuously,Domestic CRH series of 200 ~ 300km/h EMUs have been put into operation in stages. Bogie is the high-speed EMUs'traveling agency,so in order to ensure the high-speed train operation safely and reliably, it must be always maintained a good performance status. As the EMUs'technology is complex and expensive, how to reduce the time to overhaul and increase the traveling mileage, improve operational efficiency, is the common goal for each countries. Rail vehicle fatigue accidents continue to occur,once the key part of fatigue fracture occurs,it would bring very serious consequences. The solution of Vehicle's fatigue problem is a pressing need for the safety of rail transport.In this paper,based on the summary of the domestic and foreign studies on the welded structure fatigue and the rail vehicle's fatigue life prediction,as welding structure standard of rail vehicles'fatigue evaluation is rarely found,and the United States'AAR standard is only developed to use in railway wagon, so that in the virtual fatigue test, the widely used international Welding Association standard IIW and the British Standard BS,as well as the written version of 2007 Boilers and Pressure Vessels ASME standards structural stress method are introduced. And the API/ASME combined the use of evaluation criteria are recommended this method should be applied to weld fatigue analysis. And described the theoretical basis and calculation principle of various standards and methods,and compared various theoretical methods in theory,and get the advantages and disadvantages of each method.In this paper, the frame of high-speed EMUs CRH3 welded bogie as a example,firstly according to UIC loading criteria, calculated static strength of the bogie,and then apply the Goodman curve, International Institute of Welding IIW standards, the British BS standards and the structural stress method to predict the fatigue life of the frame of the bogie,and analyzed the characteristics and application areas of these types of assessment methods,finally according to the calculating result of these methods,we can get the structure stress method has a clear advantage compared with other methods,so it should be widely used and rapidly developed.
