In order to implement the national policies of land conservation, the most loom factory buildings have the transformation from one-storied factory buildings to the multi-storied ones. Then, the looms is also be placed on the second floor or the third floor, which is described as the multi-story loom factory building in this paper, the factory buildings induce great vibration when the looms working. Therefore, how to keep the displacement in a reasonable bounds and reduce the impact of vibration is of vital importance.During the structural design of the factory buildings, we transform the dynamic load produced by looms into equivalent static load according to the principle of Theoretical Mechanics and then use the space model to analyze the integral structure. A finite element model is established in this paper to analyze the dynamic characters. And then we will acquire the dynamic magnification factor with the comparison of girders' static displacement and dynamic displacement, which can provide a theoretical basis for the static calculation.The calculation of building's horizontal and vertical vibration in this paper is based on "Standards on structural dynamic design of multiple-story weaving buildings"(FZJ116-93). Then the field tests on the building were carried out after the building put into operation. Compared the theoretical results and the actual measurement results, the conclusion can be gain that the horizontal displacement is consistent while the vertical displacement has great difference, which means that the calculation results in horizontal direction is of great value and the simplified calculation model should make an adjustment.Finally, find out the reasons for the differences with the comparison of the field tests results of formed project and another similar project, and analyze how to reduce the harmful impacts from the vibration of loom through the adjustment of structural arrangement.
