With the continuous development of science and technology, refrigeration technology is widely used in various fields, which take a huge convenience in people's production and life, but an increasing shortage of natural resources in the world is facing tremendous pressure, so all developed countries put a lot of manpower and material resources on refrigeration research. As a key component of refrigeration system- heat exchanger, has been the focus of these kind of study.China consumps considerable heat exchanager, but the related study on it lags behind. The heat exchanger manufacturer, require to build advanced level of heat exchanger test platform urgently. In view of this, this article designed a comprehensive laboratory testing of heat exchangers based on ASHRAE standard.Firstly, in-depth analysis of the international standards:ANSI/ASHRAE 64-2005, ANSI/ASHRAE 25-2001. The compression-drive system choosed as a test loop system in the laboratory, and introducted the calibration box testing methods. Also refer to the national standard GB 16409-1996-plate type heat exchanger, simplify plate heat exchanger testing method into the laboratory, so the lab can carry out the performance testing of evaporative condensor, plate heat exchanger, and forced convection air coolers in the same refrigeration system.In this paper, a reasonable layout of the laboratory arranged, with rational design of the combined refrigerating cabin to meet the requirements of the calibration box. Besides the structure of system hardware, the paper also completed a precise measurement and control system design, thus ensuring the accuracy of the data obtained experimentally measured.This design choose Agient 34980A as a data collector, on the basis of raditional application of their own software- Benchlink, but also developed a secondary software, implemented data collection systems in a more intuitive interface to run dynamic display, and process the collected datas simply to quickly test the validity of data and evaluation of the performance of heat exchanger.Finally, this paper considered lots of factors comprehensively:refrigeration capacity, logarithmic mean temperature difference, thermal efficiency, the relative total pressure drop etc. To evaluate the heat exchangers comprehensively and provide a guidance for its innovation and improvement.
