The visual system of the marine simulator provides the most intuitionistic visual information for the users. The ship bridge of marine simulator can greatly improve the immersion of system and fully demonstrate the ship movement in six degrees of freedom. The previous design of marine simulator always associates with the site conditions. In order to accommodate more participants, the ship bridge usually is design as big as possible. However this design may result in the mismatch of the bridge and visual ship bow and cause some negative impact to operators in training process.Augmented reality technology add virtual scenes or information to the real scene by different ways to strengthen the real scene. Operating environment of the marine simulator is the virtual visual system combine with the ship bridge. After the model of the whole ship integrated into the visual system and set the camera in the bridge at the model, the image generated was displayed on the screen by projection. Operators can see the visual ship bow, at the same time the real ship bridge can be viewed. This fact brings out the matching problem between visual ship bow image and real ship bridge. The work at this paper mainly contains three points.1. Introducing the marine simulator bridge design method and summarizing the relationship between the bridge and the projection screen and projector.2. Setting up an experimental platform which can add the real bridge data into virtual scene to solve the mismatch.3. To use some real ship data, obtaining some real ship bridge data. Classifying ships into several categories and presenting corresponding design data of marine simulator bridge for each category.
