The thesis conducts deep analysis of the functional principle and the present application condition of the anti-creep device for No.13 top operation couplers, and integrates the investigation of two accidents; it then gets the matters needing attention during the production and use of No.13 top operation coupler anti-creep devices hereafter and raises proposals for improvement.The thesis conducts researches based on both theory and object analysis on site. Main researches include:1. It makes theoretical analysis of the principle of anti-creep device for No. 13 top operation couplers; the computation and analysis of actual use process indicate that the anti-creep devices for No. 13 top operation couplers indeed meet design requirements, which solves the coupler separation inertial accidents troubling the railway system for years.2. The thesis is based on the test and examination of the objects and the sites where No.13 top operation coupler anti-creep devices are used while coupler separation accidents still occur for the two times; it integrates the production condition of the manufacturers and the use and maintenance of user units; through theoretical analysis and object simulation, it finds the cause of the separation of the anti-creep devices used in No. 13 top operation couplers, namely, there is check and stagnation occurring after the products are assembled, as the production unit neglects product quality and is not familiar with product performance; and the problems are not detected timely during daily use and maintenance, resulting in coupler separation due to No. 13 top operation coupler anti-creep device losing its functions. Aiming at the analysis results, this thesis puts forward the matters shall be paid attention to during the production and use of existing No. 13 top operation coupler anti-creep devices.3. After the analysis of the existing No. 13 top operation coupler anti-creep devices, the thesis raises improvement comment, integrating the condition on the sites of user units, namely to redesign partial structures of No. 13 top operation coupler anti-creep devices. The new structure expands the first level ant-creep ledge, which not only increases the anti-creep area of the coupler anti-creep device, but also provides it positioning function. The increased anti-creep area enables the coupler anti-creep devices to stand more abrasion, and in this way their service life is prolonged. The positioning function helps to prevent check and stagnation of coupler anti-creep devices caused by inferior quality and misuse or poor maintenance.4. It extends the principle of No. 13 top operation coupler anti-creep device and discusses bottom operation coupler anti-creep devices.
