Hangzhou is the city of "five water co-existence", which comprises the Qiantang River, West Lake, the Grand Canal, East Sea, and West Brook. Water is the root and the soul of Hangzhou. Under the new urban form, Hangzhou raised the new construction strategy of aquatic area environment, which transformed from the "five water co-exist" to "five water co-lead" and guide the development and construction about space form of eco-city. In a series of initiatives, the "Integrated Regulation and Protected Development of Urban River Project" is the largest water system construction project by far in Hangzhou, which started form 2007. It is a positive significance to read the works, which can help us to understand the characteristics of eco-city construction in Hangzhou, and rich the theoretical study about space form of eco-city in China.This paper analyzes the evolution of the relationship between the Hangzhou urban morphology and river water. Based on organic renewal theory, we could understand and analyze Hangzhou "Integrated Regulation and Protected Development of Urban River Project", and thus to understand that city deeply, to find out the complicated urban development the underlying causes behind the appearance. Based on the urban morphology theory, we could research the inference to the evolution of urban morphology from the "Integrated Regulation and Protected Development of Urban River Project", and thus we will have a better solution for future urban development, the practical problems faced by the process of coordinate old town space environment, which could help the urban organic and healthy development. At the same time, by the organic renewal study of "Integrated Regulation and Protected Development of Urban River Project" in Hangzhou, we could know the historical basis for the urban space of urban development and the urban spatial characteristics, providing certain guiding principles for the urban planning.
