Armature is necessary part of different types of motors, e.g. electrical tools, automobile motors and domestic appliance. Because of the influence of the material, manufacturing and assembly technologies, the massive unbalance arises in the armature manufacture process. With the rapid development of the modern industry in China, the motors is also developing towards the higher-speed and the lighter weight, which demands motor performance such as the vibration and the noises a higher quality.The balancing machine is the equipment for armatures balancing. The balancing machine may be divided into two types, namely the Unbalance Test Machine (UTM) and Automatic Balancing Machine (ABM). The UTM is only to test the unbalance so it is not suitable for the modern industry because of the low efficiency. As a result the ABM is required. Based on the previous research this work studies several problems appeared in the ABM running. The aim is to improve the efficiency, the adaptability, the stability and the reliability of ABM. The main points are as follows:(1) Point-to-Point Communication ConstructionPoint-to-Point Communication Construction essentially is a communication structure of'PLC + touch-screen + chief MCU + auxiliary MCU'. In this structure PLC is the main controller, the touch-screen is the interface between the human and the machine, the chief MCU is used to sample signal and calculate the vibration, and the auxiliary MCU is used to drive the motor in measurement unit.(2) High-order Bandpass Active FilterAccording to the design criteria of the most flat Butterworth Filter, a high-order bandpass active filter is designed. The circuit construction is based on cascade method and the component values are based on genetic algorithm. The experimental data verifies the filter performance.(3) Correction of Massive UnbalancePropose the Contour Unbalance Distribution for V milling cutter and the Internal Cutting Decomposition for R milling cutter, and the largest amount of balanceable unbalance is improved.(4) Stability and Manipulation ConvenienceSubstitute the stepper motor with servo motor, the pneumatic control system is designed and the influence coefficient method is studied.
