The star sensor has wide application prospect in many aspects of the National defence and People's Livelihood with the highest precision in navigation system. To acquire ground testing and calibration criterion for the star sensor, the star simulator will be more important for development of star sensor. Therefore, development of star simulator attracts increasingly attention from the scientific research departments all over the world. The static star simulator is designed as the calibrating system for star sensor. The star classification and spectrum could be simulated through the optical source system of star simulator. The output beam from the star simulator optical system has higher collimation and stability. The designed result is simulated in Zemax software. The design makes max secondary spectrum is less than 0.1mm, multiple achromatic result was obtained in full wave band and the deviation of main ray and energy center is control in 2um, the worstwave field aberration mean square value is 0.02 ~λ. The result of this design is well enoughto meet the whole system need.Comparing with the testing and application requirements of the star simulator, the fabricating and aligning tolerance are simulated and analyzed in detail. Consequently the reasonable assemble and testing program is proposed in this paper.
