Because the Cable-cabin System of Five-hundred meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) has the following characteristics: nonlinear, large hysteresis and weak stiffness, the vibration response of the cabin is evident in the effect of wind, and it affects precision of the Cable-cabin System directly. So, it's very important to control the vibration of the cabin.Circular Tuned Liquid Column Damper (CTLCD) is designed to control the vibration of the cabin according to the Cable-cabin System of FAST in this thesis, and the kinematic equation of it is established using Lagrange Energy Method. And the twisting motion equation of a structure which is with CTLCD is also established.Modal analysis of the finite element model is done, and the scheme using CTLCD to control vibration of the cabin comes out. A typical simulation example is designed for checking the obvious effet of CTLCD.On the platform of FAST5m model, a series of experiments are designed to prove the effect of CTLCD. Using control variable method and with comparision of displacement-time curves and swing reducing rate, time reducing rate, factors which affect CTLCD's vibration reduction, such as initial height of liquid in the vertical pipes, viscosity of liquid and cabin's position, are analysised in detail.
