In modern industry,the different requirements,such as quick start,brake, reverse, or very slow speed of the steady movement,etc.was required by a variety of motor in production machinery for dragging;DC motor has been widely used in the high-performance speed control system because of its good speed control performance,small static gap, and higher operating efficiency.As the skills of DC speed control were very low, full digital control system of home-made DC converter is facing a good opportunity for development.The main issues about the design of DC motor speed control system were discussed and the advantages and disadvantages of different control modes were analyzed systematicaly in this paper. First,based on the analysis of DC motor simulation system, control programs and various control methods are discussed. And then based on digital control,the stable regulations such as DC motor start,stop and positive inversion were realized through PC-and DSP control. A stable operation of the motor was achieved by using the dual-loop control method based on the PI algorithm. And finally, by using TI's chip design TMS320LF2407, a DSP-based digital control system was designed. The reliability of the system was enhanced due to the chip's processing power and rich peripherals and the system eliminated the previous complex hardware circuitry.The results of experiment show that the control system has broad application prospects because of its fast start and high stability.
