With the rapid development of social productivity and the low costs of the shipping industry, international shipping business has made considerable progress. At the same time, the trend of the ship diversified and large-scale development has increased the probability of ships'encountering each other near the port. The safety of navigation in this region will be greatly affected. This paper will make multiple regression analysis of large vessels'track width and control parameters.According to the regression equations, we can discover which factor affects the track width and control parameters and how much impact on the nearby port waters by that factor. By that we can give help to the building of the port and the navigation nearby the port. The paper bases on the project " open terminal design and construction of technical regulations-the waters of large vessels roundabout, braking distance, and the fairway scale ship measurement study " which signed between China Communication Planning and Design Institute for Waterway Transportation and Dalian Maritime University. In " The study of track width & manoeuvring index based on the observation in reality condition ",ZengKun has given some suggestions to the "Design Code of General Layout for Sea Port" on track width, turning radius, braking distance and circle radius. Here I will expand the scope of data collection, classify the date and choose the appropriate sample.By the multiple regression analysis, we will get the regression equations. Through tests, the significance of the equations and coefficients, multicollinearity problems and all assumptions are ideal. The predicted values of the regression equations are slightly larger then them in the "Design Code of General Layout for Sea Port". That is because the length of the ships in the samples are above 300 meteres. Through the regression we can learn the relationship between dependent variables and independent variables.we can also predict the track width and control parameters of large vessels near the port water.Overall, the regression equations will do good to ships'navigation, the port's construction and the full utilization of resources near the port. |
