The selector valve developed last contury is the digital electro-hydraulic control components that can change the fluid flow. The selector valve has been widely used. The selector valve is used the electromagnetas the electro-mechanical conversion element. However, the electromagnetas will consume large amounts of energy, if it is used.The character of piezoelectric is fast response,large output force per unit voltage, larger displacement output, high precision deformation, easy control and voltage needed after working. A now water hydraulic selector valve with low pressure with piezo Actuator is designed on the current electromagnetic directional valve. Thereforce, the followings are done.1. The static and dynamic analysis of the amplification mechanism of flexible hinges are based on analytical and finite element method, with the results of the magnification of the am plifier, resonance frequency and vibration mode. Also factors which influence the output cha racteristics, reasons for errors of lever are both analyzed.2. design different piezoelectric-drived low pressure water hydraulic directional valve ba sed on different amplification principles, analysize the advantages and disadvantages of these two kinds of valves and finally select low pressure water hydraulic directional valve which b ased on leverage amplification principle.3. compare ball valve with slide valve, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the m, and decide to design in the form of ball valve. Simulate the self-designed directional valve in the environment of AMESim programs. determine the parameters of load capacity and out put displacement needed in the design of flexure hinge. finally analyze the inner flow passage of the self-designed directional valve with the finite element method.4. Design temperature compensation mechanism for piezo actuator. Analyze the mechan ism which is designed from the theoretical point of view. Finally reach a conclusion that in th e application environment, displacement loss caused by temperature could be compensated ef fectively by the temperature compensation mechanism.5. Analyze the piezo actuator from the theoretical point of view. establish similar model of piezo actuator. finally obtain the range of pre-pressure exerted by piezo actuator.
