Solar energy has been widespread concern because of its characteristics such as clean, and multilevel converters also have been widely used. This paper analyzed single-stage solar photovoltaic power generation system and the diode-clamped three-level inverter, established solar cell model and Grid-connected PV system model based on MATLAB, made a simulation on the maximum power point tracking and the mid-point voltage balance issue. Designed a 2 kW inverter, according to the result of analysis, the parameters of components in the topology were decided, TMS320F2812 was used as control chip, besides, designed driver circuit, analog-digital conversion circuit and serial communication circuit. Written some base software such as PLL, after commissioning, achieved the desired results.
