Owing to design, construction, heavy load traffic and other reasons, the cement pavement in China which was constructed during the late 80s and early 90s, have been entering the large and medium-sized maintenance period. It has been a great subject that proposes the design and the construction methods of overlay on the existing cement pavement, which can adapt to the situation of our country. Through the appraisal of the existing pavement, the reflection mechanism analysis of overlay, the comparison of anti-crack effect, estimating the service life, construction technology and other research work are developed systematically.It is a common mothed to improve the performance and the bearing capacity that is asphalt concrete overlay on existing cement pavement. According to investigation of entity project of the road of fuzhou in Qingdao city, such as breakage, crack rate, crack width, smoothness, antiskid characteristics, ect. The FWD, the surface radar and other advanced non-destructive inspection equipments are used to detect. This article mainly assesses the load-bearing capacity of the existing cement pavement, passing load capacity of the joint, the cavity of the cement concrete pavements, ect. Acorrding to optimization,it determines the plan of adding the asphalt treated base before overlays of asphalt layer,and then designs the asphalt mixture proportion and paves the test road. At last,paves the whole road when passing the evaluation of the asphalt mixture property detection.Through this study, the design method of asphalt concrete overlay is proposed, which is in view of the characteristic of asphalt overlay of the existing cement pavement. By this basis, the technology of asphalt concrete overlay is proposed on material choosing, existing road treatment, the design of overlay structure and the construction controlling methods. Emphasis on the study of construction of key technologies,which about overlaying the asphalt treated base.This paper studies the Old Cement Concrete Pavement and Asphalt Concrete Surface Repair Technology, Fuzhou Road on the physical works of broken cement concrete pavement, crack rate, crack width, flatness, surface skid characteristics, etc. Based on the investigation, with FWD, GPR and other advanced equipment on the full range of NDT testing, the major structure of the old concrete pavement bearing capacity, load transfer and joint cement concrete slab off idle assessment of the situation. Select overlay program Test Road Paving and after a comprehensive understanding of the performance of overlay, and for three asphalt mixture design, the final key technology for the construction technology research. The conclusion summarized as follows:1, this paper FWD on Old Cement Concrete Pavement structural carrying capacity assessment, Fuzhou Road on Old Concrete Pavement Damage Survey, deflection testing, slip resistance testing, roughness testing, thickness and strength testing, the test results are excellent or above to pass. With the rapid economic development trend, the increasing traffic, carrying capacity is increasing, and will speed up the road damage. Hence the need for Pavement, to improve the road performance.2, analysis of the main causes of reflective cracking to determine the pavement overlay program to finalize the old concrete pavement asphalt surface layer to increase asphalt stabilized base.3, the overlay accordingly AC-13, AC-20 and the ATB-30 Asphalt Mixture Design, and the corresponding performance testing, meet the design requirements.4, due to overlay complex structure, which ATB-30 large stone asphalt mixture, in order to ensure quality production to prevent segregation and other diseases, make appropriate paving and rolling techniques.5, flexible base course construction technical research focuses on the construction of the common control of the temperature variation and a detailed exploration, and the corresponding solutions.
