This article, on the base of the residential culture, environment and architecture design, studies how the details and the facades of the high-rise residential buildings reflect the own architecture artistic features, by organizing all kinds of related architecture elements. The innovation point of this article is this article is that it brings forward some feasible plans for sustainable development of the facade design of the high-rise residential buildings in the future of China.First, this article does a brief summary of the history of the development of the high-rise residential buildings external forms and then analyzes the existing problems with the shape design of the high-rise building. And then the third part discusses how to use the architectural elements and form languages to shape the main artistic features for the high-rise residential buildings, along with many examples as analysis and testimony. The forth part, from the forms of the high-rise residential buildings and the globality of the living environment, studies the ways of the space constitution and the shape design of the high-rise residential buildings.
