Recently, people are searching for new clean alternative energy to face the shortage of non-renewable resources threaten as well as the pressure of environment protection.Vehicles, as public transport, is the key breakthrough to realize energy conservation and environment protection.Clean energy vehicles will substitute for traditional petrolic ones someday, and hybrid electric vehicle is just the milestone in this transition. What's more, battery management system which serves as the key parts will join battery and car.BMS is mainly through real-time monitoring of battery parameters, including voltage, current, temperature, etc., to determine the status of the battery, and according to the state at this time given battery strategy to optimize the battery usage, both to prevent abuse, to ensure their safe and effective use; can maximize battery performance, increase energy efficiency, reduce vehicle exhaust emissions. At present, Li-ion battery BMS for HEV is still imperfect. The paper is study on this issue base on original researches by analysis driving conditions, and finally proposing a suitable strategy. This paper firstly analysis functions of Li-ion and understand its working statement, secondly figure out a suitable strategy, thirdly rebuild BMS software and hardware and so on, finally examine reliability of the system.
