The Digital Expression Of Nightscape Of The Summer Palace

With the emergence of digital media,the digital technology represented by three-dimensional animation and virtual reality is rapidly developed.It has been widely applied in various fields of industry,it also revealed a striking effect in the protection of cultural heritage.The Summer Palace is an imperial garden which is the largest extant and the best preserved in China.The landscape of garden,though man-made,seems to be there by nature,reflects the traditional approach of the ancient landscape art in China.Therefore,the research on digital cultural heritage for the Summer Palace is of great practical significance.The digital expression of nightscape of the Summer Palace applies three-dimensional animation and virtual reality to the Summer Palace which is the traditional landscape in China.It achieves visualization of parts of the buildings and plants in the Summer Palace.It explores a lighting technique on nightscape on the basis of giving full consideration to nightscape lighting aesthetic thoughts.In the lighting design,we use the method of multiple space modeling lighting which highlights specific and gives consideration to general,demonstrating the artistic style of the buildings.Ultimately,we establish operation of human-computer interaction in order to achieve tour of nightscape of the Summer Palace and related view spots by operating virtual reality system.
