Research On Beijing Subway Interior Lighting Design

With the rapid development of urban railway transportation, people nowadays not only request fast transportation but also require comfort environment in subway. Subway lighting design can well coordinate every part in subway station to meet such comfortness. How to present the lighting design is therefore the premier task in subway design.As the backbone of city transportation and the largest city infrastructure construction, subway also plays as a stage on which cities present their own cultures and technologies. Beijing subway construction, which can best represent the top level of Chinese subway construction, certainly shoulders the responsibility to advocate Chinese culture to the world.Through the research on Beijing subway Line 15, this thesis analyzes the features and shortcomings of current Beijing subway lighting designs and discusses the possible schemes on how to meet the basic lighting requirements such as brightness and comfortness and the further and fashionable requirements say-the presence of culture.
