As a new type of composite structure, dynamic characteristics of Steel-Concrete composite ribbed shells are very different with structures that can be regarded as assemblies of plane structure, the differerence presents on two aspects:on the one hand, their free vibration frequencies may be very close since their space stiffness are uniform; on other hand, the problem as to their space dynamic stability is more prominent. Therefore, dynamic stability analysis of steel-concrete composite ribbed shells is very important to their seismic performance. In this paper, dynamic stability analysis of steel-concrete composite ribbed shell is studied.By using numerical analysis method, frequency spectum characteristics and dynamic stability of steel-concrete composite ribbed shells with different parameters under step loads,harmonic loads and earthquake excitation are discussed. Through investigation with different structural parameters, different amplitude of step loads, different frequency of harmonic loads,the relationship between structural dynamic response and amplitude of loads,vibration properties,spectrum of loads are established, critical load conditions of dynamic stability are defined.
