| The lifting-up conservation for historical masonry structure is a new technique. In the technique, to make the structure safely and smoothly complete the vertical movement by a number of supporting point, in addition to strengthening its integrity, and more importantly, constructing a integral basis as lifting platform under the original structure by underpinning is the key step.Based on the lifting-up conservation project for the Jade Emperor Pavilion of Kaifeng Yanqing Taoist Temple, which was built in Yuan Dynasty, a underpinning method applying the principle of manual pipe-jacking, by which can build a rigid basis under the original structure, is mainly studied in this paper.1. Research on the construction process of the underpinning method applying the principle of manual pipe-jackingFirstly, the basic idea of the underpinning method applying the principle of manual pipe-jacking is introduced. Secondly, some technical problems, such as selecting of the jacking scheme, design for the box girders, design and construction for the jacking system, determining the thickness of the reserved soil at the top of the box girders and its reinforcement measures, error analysis and its corresponding correction measures, are studied.2. Research on the calculation involved in the underpinning method applying the principle of manual pipe-jackingDeriving the formula for calculating the jacking force, its applicability and rationality are also proved by comparison with the measured data. Moreover, giving the formula for checking the bearing capacity of the reaction wall; these studies provide some basis for the design of construction process.3. Research on the settlement of the structure and numerical analysis of the structural reinforcement effectivenessAccording to the measured data, giving the factors leading to the settlement of the structure and corresponding solutions. Furthermore, the reinforcement effectiveness is numerical analyzed, it proves that the reinforcement measures significantly enhances the capacity of the structure to withstand the settlement influence, and greatly ensures its safety. |
