Hydraulic excavator is the major construction machine and it's widely used in the mechanized construction of transportation, water conservancy, energy, urban construction and so on. Working equipment is the main part for earth excavation, so the performance of working equipment becomes one of important symbols of machine.The work of the mechanism is completed by compound action of three fuel tanks and the interaction of earth moving. Through the movement simulation and the dynamic display of working a new plan of design, make the designer see the dynamic pictures of the equipment working during the course of designing, and verify the rationality of this scheme, the optimization degree of the equipment's parameter. Whether the design of the backhoe is good or not and the joint position contacting the backhoe and the machine body directly affect the machine performance. According to the reality, in the first part of this paper, using the tool box SimMechanics in MATLAB SIMULINK to run backhoe device simulation studies to determine whether the initial parameters of the machine can meet the basic requirements or not. Based on the first part, the second part simulates and optimizes the backhoe device, determine the structure of rationality, refine the location of each point.Overall, do research work in the following three aspects:1. A comprehensive analysis is performed for hydraulic working conditions. On the basis of work characters, the design of working mechanism is studied to meet the requirements for dynamic characteristics, geometry, structure strength and other aspects of hydraulic excavator.2. With the working device kinematic and dynamic theoretical analysis, research the performance of excavator working device visualization. Applications in toolbox SimMechanics in MATLAB SIMULINK, accurate and rapid analysis of the basic mining size can be got such as the maximum digging height, maximum digging depth, maximum digging radius and maximum radius of the level of digging.3. Optimization goal is to make the force by three tank minimum under the premise of meeting specific resistance to digging. Establish a working equipment dynamic optimization design model and optimized it with ADAMS. The solutions can be applied to improve the design of the product and improve the performance of excavation.
