| Currently, in the development of low-carbon economy, traditional energy vehicles have also been emphasis on energy saving. It is an effective way to reduce the fuel consumption by reducing the air resistance force. Compared with the traditional wind tunnel test, the simulation of vehicle outflow fields has several advantages:reproductively, short period and low cost. CFD technology plays an important role in improving vehicle aerodynamics characteristics.Based on the CFD theory, the outflow fields of the pick-up truck was simulated with the relative software FLUENT.First, the simplified model of the pick-up truck body and the computational domain ware set up, the grids ware divided accordingly. To ensure the precision, three different turbulent models ware adopted. The boundary condition and the computation parameters ware defined. Last, the fields of the pick-up truck ware calculated. Then put it compared with the results of the wind tunnel. After that, a best simulation method for the pick-up truck was gained. Besides, the vector plots of velocity field, the pressure diagram and the 3D streamlines of the wake vortex ware presented. The aerodynamic force coefficient and characteristics of the pick-up truck ware calculated.Second, according to the CFD theory, the pick-up truck model was optimized and simulated. The aerodynamics characteristics ware calculated, contrasted and analyzed. The study, in the aspect of aerodynamics, offered us some references of modeling the pick-up truck. Finally, in the same boundary conditions and calculation parameters, the pick-up truck model include underhood ware calculated. The results indicated that: influence of the underhood effect on pick-up truck aerodynamic performance was very obvious. Based on the results given above, the car's heat dissipating performance was analyzed. |
