Tractor electro-hydraulic power steering system, according to the working environment for the tractor, can provide adequate assistant power and provide people with a more comfortable steering feel and more economical steering power consumption. In this paper, Modeled for a self-designed electro-hydraulic power steering system, researched the assist characteristics and control algorithm, then carried out on the basis of the simulation.This paper first designed the structure of an electro-hydraulic power steering system (EHPS), explained the working principle of the system, analyzed components of the system one by one, established and simplified the static and dynamic mathematical model of each part. Based on the models, the assistant power and turning following character are studied. The method to control motor speed changed with resistance torque of steering wheel to obtain better steering feel is mainly analyzed, and the PID control algorithms was used.EHPS system is established in AMESim. AMESim provides users a single platform for modeling the complex one-dimensional fields of mechanical electronic and hydraulic integrated system, it is used to build the model for the simulation. It can simulate accurate for any system and component. It can provide the resolve scheme quickly and correctly. Established the system model of tractor EHPS system and set various parts of the system model parameters by AMESim. The control parameters was adjusted and analyzed the assist character of system. The final simulation results indicated: The self designed system based on energy-saving has obvious effect of the Power-assistance, which can increase with the steering wheel torque by assist character, and consistent with the control algorithm.Finally, Based on good simulation results of the system, this paper design primarily the hardware circuit for the system controller on the tractor EHPS. Provide reference to make the actual production of controller on the tractor EHPS.This paper used advanced computer technology to save system development costs and accelerate the progress of system development. This provided theoretical basis for the electro-hydraulic power steering system controller design.
