The demand for energy is increasing as the global economy maintains a sustained growth. Fossil energy accounts for a very large proportion in the consume of energy, which on the one hand can cause energy crisis due to the limited storage of fossil energy on earth, on the other hand can cause greenhouse effect and environmental pollution due to the combustion emissions. As one kind of renewable and clean energy, wind energy plays an important role in relieving the problem caused by overly dependent on fossil energy, and wind power generation get noticed by countries all around the world.Our country has spent lots of money in developing wind power generation technology in recent years to close the gap with the developed countries on theory and practice. Main transmission chain is the core of a wind turbine generator. It’s almost impossible to conduct site test and experiment for a main transmission chain, due to the limitation from the geographic position and the cost. So, it is very important to build a win turbine generator test bed in the factory.This paper takes one 100kw wind turbine as the research object and adds a five degrees of freedom load simulation equipment to the traditional single degree of freedom wind turbine towing test bed to simulate the full load conditions of a wind turbine.The first chapter introduces the background of this paper such as the current status of wind power development and the current research status of wind turbine test at home and abroad. Then it presents the research contents of this paper and emphasizes the research’s meaning.In chapter 2, the general design scheme and the loading principle for the five degrees of freedom load simulation equipment are provided. This chapter introduces the load principle of the wind turbine, divide the load into six degrees on the coordinate system fixed on the wind turbine one degree of load is designed to be simulated by a motor. Based on this, the way to simulate the blades and the load of the wind turbine is presented. Next, this chapter gives a detailed introduction on the algorithm to calculate the loading force for every single hydraulic cylinder.Then this paper introduces the mechanical structure design, hydraulic system design and control system design respectively. The third chapter is on the mechanical part design,3D modeling, finite element analysis and the assembly drawing design. The fourth chapter is on the hydraulic system design and the selection of the hydraulic components. The fifth chapter is on the control system design, including hardware design and software design.The sixth chapter introduces the experimental verification process for the five degrees of freedom load simulation equipment, and the test result shows that the equipment can generate expected result. The last chapter draws the conclusion of the whole paper and gives the outlook.
