Analysis On Design And Sedimentation Process About Silting Dam

China is one of the most serious soil erosion countries in the world; soil erosion has always been our number one eco-environmental problems. Do water and soil conservation work good,protect and improve our ecological environment is one of our long-term basic national policy. Loess plateau in Yellow River is one of the regions with serious soil loss and vulnerable eco-environment in China even in the word, where sediment discharged into Yellow River is nearly 1.6 billion tons. The serious soil loss does not only restrict the sustainable development of local economic and society but also threatens the safety of the lower Yellow River basin greatly, effective control about the sand loss in the channel is the key to solve the Loess Plateau's problem.In this paper, the three aspects from construction methods, the problems should be pay attention to in the design process and estimate the amount of dam sedimentation are analyzed and discussed, the obtained knowledge points are as follow:1. From the current reality of silting dam construction, analyzing the specific issues, given the methods about silting dam selection, the scale of silting dam, the element of silting dam, the running style of silting dam, the design standards of silting dam and the problems should be pay attention to in the design process, such as the selection of dam type, the selection of overall layout for the dam site, and the requirements for silting dam detail design;2. For the role of silting dam project into full play, pre-construction preparation, construction of organizational design, construction process and the building of supervision work is very important parts. In this article, from the aspects that the preparation for the silting dam, construction methods and requirements, the construction requirements and processes of drainage project, quality control and final acceptance , elaborated the general methods and principles for the construction of silting dam in the Loess Plateau, and cited the specific project examples to describe its process;3. With engineering example, given the relative stability meaning, standards and the determinate coefficient about silting dam, elaborated that, without reasonable planning and design, advanced management system, perfect supervision system and the actively cooperation of the local government and the villagers, the construction of silting dam can not be successful;4. This paper also proposed several estimation methods for its sedimentation, for example, the method of hydrological analogy, the generalization of sediment body, the roughly estimate for the process of sediment deposition and so on.
