Reactive power optimization in power systems is one of the most effective control methods to ensure power system operation securely and economically,and an important measure to reduce the transmission loss and the voltage loss,and to improve the voltage quality,so that the study of the problem of reactive power optimization has the great significance in theory and practical application.This paper takes augmented Jacobian matrix using the inverse method to linearizate the model.Trust region algorithm is combined with interor-point method,and trust region radius is added to the constraint conditions to form a new linear model.Improved interior point method used for solving linear problem.Through the constraints of iterative radius,it overcomes the problem of linear step difficult to adjust. The complementary gap as a penalty function is introduced into the objective function.To a certain extent,it can solve the problem infeasible solution is easy to produced that when they are more stringernt binding conditions.Optimization method will be studied using MATLAB for analysis and testing improved trust region interior-point algorithm for power system reactive power optimization results. Improved trust region interior-point algorithm is applied to the IEEE 30-bus system,IEEE 6-bus system and IEEE 14-bus and compares the results of optimization with Primal-dual interior point method and trust region interior-point algorithm.The favourable effect can be obtained by using improved trust region interior-point algorithm in reactive optimization that is in node voltage control,power loss reduction and possess stable convergence.And the algorithm can accurately analyze the infeasibility of reactive power optimization.
