Now design of mountain expressway interchange mostly focus on implementing specifications of standards and norms, and comprehensively consider the difference between sub-projects and actual situation insufficiently, and lack of flexibility of using linear indicators, which lead to the bad damage to landscape and environment and the cost increased. In order to use technical indicators according to local conditions, so that making new concepts and new skills integrate the mountain environmental conditions better, play a social and economic benefits to safe, environmental and economic interchange better, this article aims to recommend a reasonable technical indicators of mountain expressway interchange, provide some data and parameters for drawing up interchange design guide and local norms.So first of all this article demonstrates the necessity of reasonable technical indicators from the influence of the indicators on land, cost and function of a interchange, then discusses the main technical indicators of mountain expressway interchange such as the minimum of radius of horizontal curve of ramp and transition curve parameter, the maximum of longitudinal grade, length of speed change lane, and propose the recommended value of them, which based on the investigation and analysis of technical indicators of "two ring and eight ray" in Chongqing, related theoretical analysis, experience of mountain expressway interchange in Chongqing. Through deep study, major conclusions are as follows:Linear indicators of ramp are key among the influencing factors of land use and cost of interchange, and radius of circular ramp is highly sensitive to the land use; unreasonable set of entrance and exit and unreasonable use of low limit indicators will affect the safety and comfort of interchange.Make a preliminary discussion that optimization of safety evaluation to main technical indicators of interchange.Preliminarily recommend the minimum of radius of horizontal curve of ramp and transition curve parameter, the maximum of longitudinal grade of mountain expressway interchange, which detail the indicators of the existing norms. The calculation of the length of speed change lane should consider the effects of design speed of ramp, operating speed of ramp and traffic volume.
