Due the new special hydro-geological conditions that the large water fluctuation, the complicated bank slope topography and geology in the Three-Gorges Reservoir Area, the structure type which combine the great artificial slope with piles of ramp or trestle bridge was adopted in many wharf construction projects,in recent years ,there have emerged many cases that the Pier Pile take out a larger deviation of the project due to backfill for slope. Based on the emerging engineering issues, This paper carried out the following studies on the property of bank slope passive-pile and the interaction between the wharf bank slope soil and piles:Based on simplified slope and pile interaction system, the finite element model was established, this model uses the frictional contact to simulate the nonlinear soil-pile interaction problem, calculates and analyzes the pile's work property under the soil thrust in this system. The results show that even if the slope safety factor is higher than 1.25, the displacements and internal forces of pile caused by the deformation of slope soil should not be ignored, the interface of the rock and soil is the most disadvantaged areas for pile; meantime, by the single-factor analysis method, factors which affect the slope and pile interaction system was studied, the result shows that: The soil strength is higher then the bending moment and displacement of passive-pile is smaller, otherwise is bigger, but the inner force of pile is more sensitive to the soil's inner friction angle changes than the cohesion; the surcharges on the top of slope has a critical value for the influence on the pile's moment and displacement, affects not obviously below the critical value, while surpasses the critical value influence increase obviously; The pile-soil relative stiffness increases then the pil's moment increases but displacement reduces; the slope's gradient becomes larger then he bending moment and displacement of passive-pile become bigger, while the displacement difference between the soil around pile and the pile becames larger, experience a"flow around "phenomenon.Combined with a wharf project in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, analysis the interaction between bank slope and piles of overhead ramp by the finite element method, this paper discusses how the presence of piles foundation improves Slope Stability and how slope soil deformation impact the pile foundation; contrast the pile's inner force and displacement in the pile head free and constrained by a continuous track beam two cases, the force of pile can be improved and the maxima displacement of pile head can be decreased in the latter case. Based on the projects, this paper proposes two measures to reduce the load of bank slope pile foundation, and these measures are proved to be effective and rational by finite element analysis method, it can provide a reference and lesson for the similar projects.
