Under the pressure of the energy and environment, wind power as an clean and renewable energy aroused world-wide extensive attention. With the increasing share of the wind power in the power system, the impact of its integration can not be ignored, and the frequency stability on to the grid need to be concerned also.In the first part of this paper,we discussed the power system frequency static characteristic, dynamic characteristic and the problem of the system frequency regulation, build up the mathematic model of the different type wind turbine generator by using DIgSILENT/Power Factory and analysis their frequency response characteristic, and then simulated the grid of urumchi-changji frequency response characteristic by integration different type wind turbine generators, the result of the simulation indicate that fixed-speed induction wind turbine generator are superior to variable-speed wind turbine generator in restrain frequency fluctuation. Next we build up the dynamic model of the load and testing urumchi-changji power grid frequency stability by using short circuit fault and impulse of different load type, the result indicate that would not bring any serious frequency problem in this wind power penetration. Finally we simulate the wind power penetration into the urumchi-changji power grid by using the method of time-domain simulation based on the steady state frequency restriction, the result of the simulation indicate that in this power grid, wind power penetration into urumchi-changji power grid is 11.03%.
