Wind power generation is the maturest technology and the most large-scale development of a new generation approach in renewable energy. However, with the scale of wind power continues to expand, the impact on the power grid deserving of attention more and more, in which the frequency stability of the grid is very worthy of our attention. My attention in this thesis is focused on frequency deviation, voltage fluctuation and wind power penetration. Through these studies, we can provide the reliable data or reasonable solution for the planning wind farm.This thesis analysis detailed conducts frequency stability and frequency characteristics of the power system. To analysis frequency stability and frequency control strategies of Xinjiang power grid.Wind power penetration study containing wind turbine generator on wind power system, constraints in the frequency limit of various wind turbine generators. The method is used on maximum power injection of wind farm, and analysis on the two mixed wind turbine of wind farm. It compares the frequency characteristics of wind turbine generators. Taking wind farm connected to Xinjiang power grid for an example, assessed the possible problem of frequency stability and frequency deviation due to large-scale wind farm is investigated.
