The vortex flowmeter has been widely applied in flow Measurement because of high measuring accuraey,no moving parts and small pressure loss. But existing vortex flowmeter has its own disadvantage. lts noise immunity is poor and its lower limit of measuring range is high. Besides that, the size of power is an important parameter for vortex flowmeter. In view of the advantages and the shortage, a digital vortex flowmeter has been developed in this article. The Vortex Flowmeter with ultra-low-power microcontroller STM32F101C6 as the core, using fewer system peripheral chips to achieve low power requirements; using digital signal processing technology - recursive DFT algorithm to process sampled datas to improve measurement accuracy and expand the range ratio. The final field test showed that the vortex flowmeter has high precision, low power consumption and anti-interference ability, has a very high value.
