The traditional vortex flowmeter counts the vortex frequency signals by signalprocessing circuit, and calculates the instantaneous flow values and cumulative flowvalues according to the relation between flow and frequency. But this method haslow accuracy and is subjected to noise disturbances, which limits the low limitationof the flowmeter. And the processing circuit has not good generality that makes theflowmeter must have different circuits to suit for different bores and fluids. In thepaper, based on digital signal processing technique, an intelligent vortex flowmeterhas been designed and developed, that is by kernel of MSP430F148 microcontrollerand has a hardware interface of HART field bus. At last, it proves that the intelligentvortex flowmeter has high accuracy and strong interference immunity, improves thelimitation so as to measure small flow according to lab instrumentation calibration.
