As the economy development, air pollution is increasing, which have been causing the dirt-flashover accidents of transmission line insulators rising. In order to reduce or avoid the dirt-flashover accidents, the influence of natural dirt which could reduce the outer insulation of insulators has been classified into different dirt level. And the dirt-area distribution map on the basis of the dirt level of the transmission line distributing area have been made, to guide the insulator selection and the cleaning of dirt insulators. The current method of making dirt-area distribution map is based on the salinity measurement of outside of insulator, the distribution of local pollution-sending source and weather character. This method does not only means large amount of work and long period of making map, but also been affected by the makers'self-opinion which would reduce the scientific and accuracy of the map. There is a new on-line monitoring device for insulator leakage current stated in this thesis. Through the installation of these devices, the relationship between insulator leakage current and dirt level have been built according the data collected by device and the fuzzy theory. The system of automatically classifying dirt-area distribution based on the collection of insulator leakage current in real time has been developed, to realize the dynamic dirt-area distribution map of Henan power grid automatically generated.
