Thermal processes generally have the characteristics of large time delay, large inertia and parameter uncertainties. The conventional control methods are often difficult to obtain satisfactory control performance and it can not meet the requirements of automatic control of thermal processes. This paper adopts the multi-model adaptive algorithms, and studies the indirect weighted multi-model adaptive control and switching algorithms. This paper analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the superheated steam temperature control objects and the commonly used method of steam temperature control. Multi-model adaptive control algorithm is applied to a boiler superheated steam temperature control system. According to the characteristics of the superheated temperature control system, this paper designs the unit load feedforward and fuel quantity feedforward. The simulation results prove that the designed control system has strong stability and adaptive capacity.
