In geotechnical engineering usually encountered such a situation:when rocks are dry, strength and hardness are up to the engineering requirements, but once with water, it's strength will reduce. In engineering,this phenomenon often led to rock mass humidifying collapse, in excavation, tunnel construction, slope treatment, foundation stability, mud-rock flow and a series of geotechnical engineering problems to cause a lot of trouble. For a long time, the major study of the influence water to the mechanical properties of rock to focus on the rock seepage field and stress field of the coupling effect and rock in connect with water treatment in construction and so on. In engineering, The main method of reduce the influence of strength of the rock with water reduce are to fill material to rock,to support the rock mass, waterproof and so on. these measures are essential to reduce strength of rocks in contact with water is only a temporary protection,cannot fundamental change rock performance.so want to fundamentally change the problem that strength of the rock with water to reduce,we must first find the causes and the mechanisms of the rock strength to reduce when it's with water, in order to fundamentally solve the problem that strength of the rock with water to reduce.In this paper, to use Jinping 2 Hydropower Station in Sichuan chlorite schists and Zhejiang Longyou Grottoes red sandstone two different rock to do experiment analysis, emphasis from the two kinds of rock mechanical properties of the starting, To experimental study rock mechanical properties which in saturated state and dry state, get the influence of water to the two kinds of rock mechanical properties. and the water ratio of rock is a key factor of water to effect rock mechanical properties, do stength tests for rock which have different water ratio, and analyze two kinds of saturated rock's water ratio. By chemical methods to analyze the reason of rock with water reduce intensity. Thesis primary coverage are as follows:1. Do uniaxial compression and conventional triaxial test for the two kinds of rock, chlorite schist and red sandstone which in dry and water saturation state; compared the strength, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio and other mechanical parameters of dry rock and water saturated rocks, get the influence of water to chlorite schist and red sandstone mechanical properties。2. Use gas-liquid two-phase equilibrium theory to preparation different water ratio rock,and do strength test for these rock,compare the water ratio for impact of the strength, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio.3. Use saturated NaCl solution to saturation chlorite schist and red sandstone, do uniaxial and triaxial compression tests for these rocks,get the influence of saturated NaCl solution to the rock mechanical properties.4. Contrast dry, distilled water saturated, saturated NaCl solution saturated three states of chlorite schist and red sandstone strength, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio and other mechanical parameters, Combine with the mineral composition testing of two kinds of rocks, analysis the relation of double electric layer.and the reason of rock with water to reduce intensity.
